Life Education is a not-for-profit charitable organisation dedicated to
delivering an interactive health programme as part of the school curriculum to
over a quarter of a million primary and intermediate Kiwi school children each year.
The Auckland central trust wanted to create an online resource for kids, teachers, parents, and supporters based around Harold the Giraffe, their famous mascot identifiable to Kiwi kids throughout New Zealand.
We developed the new Harold website in collaboration with Openfire Creative to design an interactive and child-friendly website. The website linked in with a real-time credit card payment system allowing donations, toys and educational resources to be purchased online helping to support the efforts of the trust.
A key part of the website requirements exposed through a number of online strategy workshops was to allow all aspects of the website (from textual content, form responses, online shop products, through to payment processing) to be manageable by the trustees without much technical knowledge - an easy job for our SuperCell website management platform!
Testimonial:
"Working with 'not-for-profits' and volunteers creates challenges within themselves, the NetProfess team were dedicated & professional throughout the build process; took time out for many after hours meetings; and took a personal interest in our work so they could better understand what we were trying to achieve with our online work.
The end result is a credit to their expertise, the site has met all our objectives to ensure a fun, interactive, and informative experience, together with providing terrific information to children & families, whilst meeting the needs of our supporters & sponsors and driving 'business' to our Trust."Lance Hutchison - Chairperson, Life Education Trust - Auckland Central Inc.
