Website for Life Education Trust Goes Live!

Today sees NetProfess' launch of the brand new Harold website (www.harold.co.nz) after 6 months of close work with Lance Hutchison and the Life Education Auckland Central Team.
Life Education is an on going - health based
education programme that aims to give children of New Zealand the knowledge and
skills that will keep them free from harmful substances.
Rising levels of obesity, binge drinking and smoking amongst children and young
people are clear indications that they are not placing health as a priority in
their lives. There are many reasons for this, including socio-economic factors,
peer influence and media influences.
NetProfess worked with Life Ed to develop an Online Strategy to get Life Ed in Auckland on the online map. These workshops focused the organisation to align their online goals with those of their identified website audiences (kids, parents, teachers, supporters, and sponsors) and were a great help in giving direction to the website project.
The completed website is a child-friendly and interactive resource, featuring myriad content for kids, mums and dads, and sponsors alike - from games and music, through to 360 degree panoramas of mobile classrooms and an online DVD documentary due to go out on SkyTV later this year.
The website ties in with e-commerce provider DPS to allow real-time credit card payments to be taken online so the Trust could accept live donations and process payments for items in their online shop.
The website is based upon our SuperCell Website Platform allowing non-technical staff the ability to easily update the website content, images, products, and also respond to emails through the website and process online payments!
The website has already been a great success with kids emailing in to Ask Harold (the giraffe mascot for the trust) plenty of questions!
Lance Hutchison, Chairperson"Working with 'not for profits' and volunteers creates challenges within themselves - the NetProfess team were dedicated & professional throughout the build process; took time out for many after hours meetings; and took a personal interest in our work so they could better understand what we were trying to achieve with our online work."
We've worked with companies across a wide range of industry sectors both here in Auckland, New Zealand, and overseas in the UK.
