The preview version of www.fastmovinggames.com, a new online service for board gamers and games players, was launched yesterday.
FastMovingGames is a new online service to help board gamers and board games players play more and better games with their friends, tying in to existing social networking and community websites.
The website is being developed by NetProfess owner, Dan Khan in his spare time, having evolved from a simple idea, through various stages over the last few years, into its final form.
Whilst the actual idea isn't being given up until the main release; as a keen board gamer, it's a site he's had a burning desire for and thus the motivation to build! The site will complement other online resources for board gamers like boardgamegeek and online games sites like BSW .
The second part of this preview website is a behind-the-scenes look at how a board games website like this is being developed and the processes that go into to building an online service for board gamers. This will be a weekly updated blog containing news, technical insights, preview screenshots, and promotional successes right up until the launch!
This 'website journal' should help build up a community to get gamers contributing and shaping the way the website will look and work. This is also where Dan will get gamers to test the website before it's released which he hopes people would love to be involved in this way.
